As part of their annual senior executive board meeting, we were asked to assist with finding the venue for this private dinner in a central London restaurant. Guests were from the US and Canada and staying at one of London’s premier 5-star hotels, so the venue was to be somewhere iconic, within easy travelling distance of their hotel, and of the highest quality.
Our initial venue finding research provided several available restaurant private dining rooms in central London, and we presented these options in a detailed document which included information such as private room capacities, images, sample menus and pricing, as well as travelling time by coach from the group’s central London hotel.
From our proposal document the client selected the private room at one of London’s most famous and acclaimed restaurants; we provisionally held the date and arranged for her to view the room.
Following a successful viewing we confirmed the venue on behalf of the client, reviewing the contract for accuracy before it was sent to her for signing.
Having secured the private room, we continued to assist in all aspects of organising the event, including the booking of a pianist to play background music, and liaising with the restaurant to arrange reception drinks and canapes, dinner menu and wine selections, printed menus and place cards featuring the client company’s logo, table plan, floral centrepieces and event timings. We also arranged return luxury coaches to transfer guests between their hotel and the restaurant.
