As part of their annual senior executive board meeting, we were asked to assist with finding the venue and co-ordinating this celebration gala dinner dance. This was to be the finale evening for their visit to London, attended by delegates and their partners, so the venue had to be very special.
Our initial venue finding provided a variety of very special venues including palaces, historic buildings, galleries and museums, however as the group was resident at one of London’s premier 5-star hotels, it was ultimately decided that it would be fitting for them to use one of the hotel’s historic function rooms overlooking the River Thames, which had fantastic views of central London landmarks including County Hall and the London Eye.
Having secured the function room for the client we continued to assist in all aspects of organising the event, including the booking of a prominent jazz band, and liaising with our contacts at the hotel to arrange menu and wine selections, table plans, floral centrepieces, event timings and arrangements for speeches.
For an extra special memento of the event we also arranged for a photographer to take shots of the guest couples as they arrived for the drinks reception. Images were processed and mounted into engraved presentation photo frames, which were wrapped and delivered to guests’ rooms before they retired for the evening!
