We were asked to organise a ‘murder mystery’ themed dinner as part of a weekend incentive stay at a resort hotel near Manchester.
Having already booked their hotel stay, our brief was to make the private dining arrangements with the hotel and to source an event company to provide the ‘murder mystery’ entertainment, pulling all arrangements together to create a seamless event.
We liaised with the hotel to secure a private dining room with private bar, which was ideal for the group numbers. Reduced room hire pricing was negotiated as well as a complimentary green room for the event company.
We approached our trusted event suppliers, who sent their quotations based on several different event scenarios which included ‘Hollywood Homicide’, ‘Who Killed His Lordship’, ‘CSI Manchester’ and ‘Murder and the Mob’. We ensured that packages quoted were fully inclusive of event design, staffing, equipment and props, transport, prizes and the required insurances, so there were no unexpected added costs. The client selected the ‘Murder and the Mob’ scenario and we reviewed the contract paperwork for accuracy before it was sent to them for signing.
As the client’s single point of contact for the event, we liaised with the hotel to communicate menu and wine selections, table plan, catering for the actors and event timings, as well as with the event company to ensure the smooth running of the event
